Shack Shack - (Madison Square Park & various locations) A good friend of mine was in town last week, and he wanted to meet up for lunch. He said he was up for anything as long as its something good and filling. The only place I can think of that would best suited for such feat is Shake Shack. I recommend the Double Shack Burger with Fries - that never disappoint me.

If you are planning to head down to Shack Shack, expect to wait online at least half an hour - if not more during lunch hours. This is probably one of the best and most popular burger joint in NYC. I know many would argue otherwise, but if not the best - it is definitely in the top 3 list. What do you think? What are your choices for the top 3 best burger joint in NYC?

Watch the full documentary - I.M. Pei: Building China Modern on PBS

This inspirational documentary on I.M. Pei, reminiscent my enthusiasm of studying architecture during the early years in college. I admire his body of work, but didn’t fully understand them. Although this documentary focus on his latest project - perhaps his last, however, it draws a clear perspective of where he comes from and how that translated onto his work.

Around the world, how far can you get with $10?

I still remember a single NYC subway ride cost $.90 back in the 80’s. The dollar don’t seems to stretch very far these days.

Baidu Shabu Shabu (37-04 Prince Street, Flushing, NY) — Probably one of the best bargain hotpot style restaurant anywhere. All you can eat and drink(sodas and house beer) for $25.00 per person (tax and gratuity extra). The foods here are definitely good with a wide variety selections of seafood, meat, veggies and dumplings. You also get to choose different flavors of cooking soup base as well. This authentic Chinese hotpot locale is great for gathering groups of friends, sharing a tasty outing during those cold winter months.

High Quality »

Whenever I get presented with an opportunity of doing something new or fun, I usually jump on the chance. Why not? I got to be a contributing editor for URC Media to cover the New York International Auto Show event two weeks ago during media days. Not only I got to test out my brand new camera (Nikon D5000), I also did a live show reporting via Hot Potato through my iPhone. I never imagine myself to be a journalist of some sort, but I am really liking the gig.
